Just WOW!

I haven't been here since February. And my love affair with Twitter has basically run it's course. We see each other sometimes when I'm bored. And we'll play when I have time to waste, but other than that I'm not feeling it anymore. I think my lack of interest could be due to everyone and every fucking show being part of the "Twitter Nation". How corny is that? What really annoys me are the people who "don't get it". What is there to get? Enter 140 character, or less and post it. If that's too much for you understand then you should just stay away from Twitter and update your Facebook (I am still not on this either. Thank God.) status every 15 minutes. One thing I do like about Twitter are the desktop and iPhone apps for it. Some them are just visually great (Tweetdeck FTW!). But still a pretty app is not going to keep fully interested.

Twitter is a Serious Drug

I have completely been neglecting this space. At first it wasn't on purpose. I got involved with that darn Twitter. Addictive as hell! Once you start with Twitter and follow a few people and then get a few people following you - you're hooked. Micro blogging is definitely the way of the future, but it can get to be a little bit much. People get pissed if you don't follow them back, respond to them, or unfollow them. I guess this is much like Facebook and MySpace. People it's not that serious! I've tried to start numerous conversations with common folk and celebs to no avail. You don't see me trippin out and getting all dramatic about it.  Oh well, I still love Twitter, but I promise to spend more time here. After all, Twitter is limited to 140 characters per tweet.

Those Green Birds Owe How Much???

This is realy sad when you think about it. How much money does the team pay some of the players? And they've never won a Superbowl???

Second Time Around (And I ain't talking about Shalamar)

I don't get it. I've been watching all the debates on CNN for the people meter. The people controlling the meter are undecided voters from Ohio. The first Presidential debate was broken down by party affiliation:Democrat, Independent, and Republican. The Vice Pres debate was simple: Men and Women. Last night's second Presidential debate was the same: Men and Women. I noticed throughout the 90 minute debate that both men and woman seemed to rate Obama pretty high as well as most discussion on the economy from both candidates. Overall, it was Barack on the positive side all night long.

After the debate was over Soledad O'Brien (love her!) asked questions of the undecideds and took simple poles by a show of hands. One guy thought McCain did very well in the "town hall" format - What debate was he watching? When asked if they had to vote who would they choose. The majority said McCain. This is where I got confused. If this group of people rated Barack Obama higher throughout the night and the majority also though he performed better in the debate, why are they still choosing McCain? I had to change the channel after that. Are they really McCain supporters? Where they really Obama supporters, but just keeping it on the DL? Or were they really those silly people that voted G. Bush into the white house the second time?

One more debate to go on October 16 and then it's all commercials and news snippets from there for most of the country. I'm still a bit uneasy about voter turnout because in the end Republicans are the ones who actually get up off their asses and head to the poles.
